Why this matters now
People are increasingly asking an AI system rather than searching a website directory or calling a business. The AI answers from whatever data it can assemble, which is usually scraped pages, old listings and third party summaries. For a network that means the answers given about your businesses are assembled from sources you do not control and cannot correct.
The problem grows with the size of the network. A franchise group with hundreds of locations, a buying group with thousands of independent businesses, or an association representing an entire industry all face the same situation many times over. Opening hours change, stock changes, prices change, and a business has no way to tell an AI system that the information it is repeating is out of date.

How it works
MasterDB is opening to early access, and a network partner is set up as a single connection that all of its businesses can use.
- We agree the scope of the network, the categories of business it covers and the data each business will publish.
- Your network is set up as a parent organisation in MasterDB, with each business as a record under it.
- Existing data you already hold, such as location lists, member directories or catalogue feeds, is mapped into the MasterDB structure so businesses do not start from an empty form.
- Each business confirms and completes its own record, and keeps it current from then on, either directly or through a feed from your systems.
- AI systems retrieve the published data when they are asked about those businesses.
What your businesses get
Each business gets an authorised record that describes what it actually is, what it actually sells, what it actually charges and what it actually has available. When an AI system is asked about that business, it retrieves current data published by the business itself rather than reconstructing an answer from whatever it found elsewhere. Corrections take effect at the source instead of being chased across the internet.
The businesses that gain most are the ones with the least technical capacity. A single independent location inside a large network gets the same standard of representation as the largest business in it, because the network has already done the setting up. Beyond publishing, a business can choose to run ads or promote its published data, but nothing is required of it to be found and answered for correctly.
