Privacy Policy

Last updated 31 August 2026

MasterDB is data infrastructure layer for AI. Businesses publish their business identity, product catalogue, jobs, events and news, and AI systems retrieve that authorised data to answer questions. This policy explains what happens to personal data on this website. It is short because this website collects very little.

This website sets no cookies of its own. It runs no analytics, no tracking pixels and no third-party scripts. Fonts are served from the site itself, so visiting a page creates no request to any font provider.

Who is responsible for your data

MasterDB is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can reach us about anything in this policy, including any data protection request, through the contact form at /contact.

What personal data we collect

There is one form on this website, “Apply for early access”. When you complete it, we collect:

  • your business name
  • your contact name
  • your work email address
  • your country
  • your industry
  • your website address, which is optional
  • your message, which is optional
  • your consent tick

We ask for no other personal data, and we build no profile of you from your browsing.

Separately, the company that hosts this website keeps standard server logs, as any web server does. These can include an IP address, the time of the request, the page requested and basic browser information. They exist so the site can be delivered and kept secure. We do not use them to identify you or to track you.

Why we use it and on what lawful basis

We use the information from the early access form only to contact you about early access to MasterDB and to answer what you asked. We do not use it for unrelated marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

Our lawful basis for the form is your consent, given by ticking the consent box before you send it. You can withdraw that consent at any time, and withdrawing it does not affect anything we did lawfully beforehand.

Our lawful basis for the host’s server logs is our legitimate interest in delivering this website reliably and protecting it from misuse.

How long we keep it

We keep early access enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your application and any follow up, and then we delete them. If you ask us to delete your enquiry sooner, we will do that, unless we are required to keep something for a legal reason.

Server logs are kept by the hosting provider for a short period as part of running the service, and are then removed.

Who we share it with

We share your form submission with the company that hosts this website and runs its form service. It acts as our processor and handles the submission on our instructions, and the submission is then emailed to MasterDB.

We do not share your personal data with anyone else. We do not sell it, we do not rent it, and we do not pass it to advertisers or to data brokers. We do not send it to AI companies, and it is not part of the data that businesses publish to MasterDB for retrieval.

International transfers

Our hosting and form provider may store or process data on servers in more than one country. Where personal data goes outside the country you are in, we rely on that provider’s contractual protections, which are designed to keep the same level of protection with the data. To know more about the arrangements that apply to your enquiry, use the contact form at /contact.

Your rights

If you are in the EU or another region with equivalent rules, the GDPR gives you these rights over your personal data:

  • Access. You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification. You can ask us to correct anything inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Erasure. You can ask us to delete your personal data.
  • Restriction. You can ask us to limit how we use your data while a question about it is resolved.
  • Portability. You can ask for the data you gave us in a common machine readable format, or ask us to send it to someone else where that is technically possible.
  • Objection. You can object to our use of your data where we rely on legitimate interests.
  • Withdrawal of consent. You can withdraw the consent you gave on the form at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, use the contact form at /contact and tell us what you want us to do. We will respond within the time the law allows, and we may need to check that the request really comes from you before we act on it.

If you think we have handled your personal data badly, you can complain to the data protection supervisory authority where you live, where you work, or where you believe the problem happened. We would rather you told us first through the contact form at /contact so we have a chance to put it right.

Security

This website is served over an encrypted connection. Form submissions travel to our hosting and form provider over that connection and are then emailed to MasterDB. Access to enquiries inside MasterDB is restricted to the people who need it to reply to you. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect the small amount of personal data we hold.

Alignment with EU rules

MasterDB is built in line with the EU AI Act and the EU Data Governance Act, and it applies the GDPR to personal data. Data published to MasterDB by a business is governed by our business terms and our acceptable use rules, not by this policy, which is about the website.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will publish the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use personal data you have already given us, we will tell you by email at the address you gave on the form.

Contact

For any question about this policy or about your personal data, use the contact form at /contact.
