Cookie Policy

Last updated 31 August 2026

This website does not set cookies. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. This page explains that in full, so you can check it rather than take it on trust.

A cookie is a small file that a website asks your browser to store, so that something can be remembered between page views or between visits. Cookies are used for useful things such as keeping you signed in, and they are also used for analytics and for tracking people across websites for advertising.

What this website does

This website is a static site. Every page is a file that is served to you and rendered by your browser. Specifically:

  • No cookies of our own. We do not set any cookie on your device, necessary or otherwise.
  • No analytics. There is no analytics product on this site. We do not count your visit, measure your session, record your scrolling or clicks, or build any statistics about you.
  • No tracking pixels. There are no invisible images or beacons that report back that you opened a page.
  • No third-party scripts. No advertising tags, no social media widgets, no chat widgets, no tag managers, no embedded trackers.
  • Self-hosted fonts. The fonts are served from this site itself. Visiting a page does not create a request to Google Fonts or to any other font provider, so no third party learns that you were here from the font.
  • No cross-site profiling. Because there is nothing here to set an identifier, nothing on this site can follow you to another website.

If you want to check any of this, open your browser’s developer tools, look at the storage panel and the network panel, and load any page on this site.

The early access form

There is one form on this website, “Apply for early access”. It is handled by the company that hosts this site, which runs its form service.

When you press send, your browser makes a technical request to the host so that the submission can be received and emailed to MasterDB. That request is short lived and it exists only to deliver what you typed. No tracking cookie is set on you as a result of using the form, and the form does not follow you afterwards.

The host also keeps standard server logs, which every web server produces in order to serve pages and stay secure. Those are logs, not cookies, and they are not used to identify or track you. What personal data the form collects, why, and what your rights are, is set out in our privacy policy.

The Business Portal is separate

The Business Portal is a separate application. It is where a business signs in to publish and manage its data.

Because it has accounts, the portal needs cookies that are necessary for signing in and for keeping a session secure. Those cookies do a job that cannot be done without them, and they are covered by the portal’s own notice, which you will see there. This cookie policy covers this website only.

If you follow a link from this site to another website, that site sets its own cookies and applies its own policy. We have no control over what it does. It is worth checking the notice on any site you move to.

How to control cookies in your browser

You do not need to change anything to browse this site privately, but you may want to control cookies generally. Every major browser lets you do it, usually under settings for privacy, security or site data. You can normally:

  • see which sites have stored cookies and other data on your device
  • delete cookies for one site, or clear all of them
  • block cookies from third parties while allowing the site you are actually visiting
  • block all cookies, though this will break signing in on many websites
  • have cookies cleared automatically each time you close the browser
  • browse in a private or incognito window, which discards site data when you close it

The exact wording differs between browsers and versions, so the best guide is the help pages for the browser you use. Many browsers also offer built-in tracking protection, and separate tools and extensions exist for the same purpose.

Blocking cookies has no effect on this website, because there are none here to block.

Alignment with EU rules

MasterDB is built in line with the EU AI Act and the EU Data Governance Act, and it applies the GDPR to personal data. Where the rules on cookies and similar technologies require consent before a site stores or reads anything on your device, this site does not reach that point, because it stores and reads nothing.

Changes to this policy

If this website ever starts using cookies or any similar technology, we will update this page before that happens, change the date at the top, and ask for consent where consent is required. The current version is always the one on this page.
